Produced from a variety of softwood species
90% of particles range from 8-35mm in size
Wood content of 95%+
Fines content less than 5% (less than 8mm)
Moisture content in the region of 30-50%, subject to seasonal variation
The weight/volume ratio (bulk density) is normally within the range of 200-300Kg/m3
The pH range is between 4.5 & 5.5
Free of all foreign matter such as large stones, plastic, glass and any other extraneous materials
Brown in colour with a pleasant odour
Durable, long lasting and free from pathogens, pests and weed seeds
Please Note: Due to the nature of this product and the screening process oversize pieces of wood may occur. However, these can easily be removed at the time of installation
Application Rates
We recommend that all our mulches are laid at a depth of between 50 & 100mm to obtain the best results. Allowing 10% for settlement
